the brief
Game-changers, rule-breakers, and power-players; this 9-part documentary series shines a spotlight on the most influential women in the history of modern music. I helped create the title sequence and internal graphics for Hall of Femme, a nine-part documentary spotlighting the most influential women in modern music.
the solution
To address the subject head-on and visually illustrate the game-changers, rule-breakers, and power-players in a tough, grungy design style with bright energetic colors, within the 9 chapters.
This concept has a strong emphasis on the impactful women themselves, highlighting their names with bold type, and shining a spotlight on the women individually, alongside more of a grunge and collage approach, to bring attention to the “rule breakers” and their strong, electric, and even rebellious attitudes.
The project was developed alongside design partner Sol Bourdeau Garcia in a mixed media tactile approach, set to a custom track by Kelly Warner, and honored with a Silver ADDY Award.

stop motion
This project includes a mix of stop motion, live footage, and Adobe After Effects animation. The mixed-media approach mirrors the diverse styles, techniques, and voices of the women whose individuality shaped modern music.
